What this does

My Board is your personal view — every task where you're the owner or an assignee, laid out as a Kanban board by status. It's where you manage your own work day to day: see what's next, move tasks forward, and keep track of anything blocked. It only shows your work, not the whole team's — for that, see Team Board.

My Board — only tasks where you're the owner or an assignee.

Before you begin

You need at least one task where you're the owner or an assignee for anything to appear here.

Moving a task

  1. Open My Board in the sidebar.
  2. Drag a task card to a new column, or open the task and change its status directly from the detail page.

BriefFlow only allows valid moves — for example, a task can't skip from Backlog straight to Ready for QA, and it can't enter In Progress until your understanding of it has been approved (see Understanding).

Marking a task blocked

  1. Move the task to the Blocked column (or open it and select the status control).
  2. Enter a short reason explaining what's stopping progress.
  3. Confirm.

That reason is visible to your manager and anyone else with access to the task, so blockers surface immediately instead of sitting silently.

What happens next

Moving a task's status is logged to its activity timeline immediately, and anyone else involved in the task (owner, other assignees) may be notified depending on the change — see Notifications.

Understanding gates

If a task's understanding needs your attention — nothing submitted yet, clarification requested, or the brief changed and your approval is now outdated — My Board surfaces that directly on the task card so it's never a status you have to go dig for.

Note

A card that won't move into In Progress isn't stuck — check its Understanding badge first.

Common issues

A task won't move to In Progress. Its understanding hasn't been approved yet. Open the task and check the Understanding section.

I don't see a task I know I'm assigned to. Confirm you're listed as an assignee (not just mentioned in a comment) — open the task detail page and check the Assignees field.
