What this does

Exports give you the same underlying task data as Reports, as a downloadable file — for sharing outside BriefFlow or working with in a spreadsheet.

Before you begin

Exporting requires the exports.create permission (Administrators by default).

Downloading an export

  1. Open Exports in the sidebar.
  2. Choose a preset — Completed This Week, Completed This Month, Completed By User, Completed By Project, Release Tasks, All Completed Tasks, Current Blocked Tasks, QA Changes Requested — or leave it on Custom.
  3. Adjust the filters below the preset if needed (date range, assignee, owner, project, release, status, priority, type).
  4. Check the matching row count shown on the page.
  5. Select Download CSV or Download XLSX.
The Exports page — pick a preset, adjust filters, and check the matching count before downloading.

Formats

CSV and XLSX are both supported. Every column is human-readable — task status, priority, and type are written out as their labels, not raw internal codes, and a task's assignees are listed by name in one cell (semicolon-separated), not split across duplicate rows.

Row limits

Note

A single export is capped at a fixed number of rows to keep generation fast and reliable. If your filters match more than that, you'll be asked to narrow them rather than receiving a silently truncated file.

What you can export

Exports respect your own permissions — you see the same task data through an export that you'd see anywhere else in BriefFlow, nothing more.

Common issues

The download says I need to narrow my filters. Your current filters match more rows than the export limit — add a project, date range, or status filter to bring the count down.
