Search documentation

Search BriefFlow's documentation by page title, section heading, or content.

What this does

BriefFlow is invite-only — there's no public sign-up. An administrator brings you into the workspace, and what you can see and do from that point on is driven entirely by the role they assign you.

Before you begin

You need an invitation email from a BriefFlow administrator. If you haven't received one and expect to, ask your administrator to send it from the Users page.

Steps

  1. Open the invitation email and select the link inside it.
  2. On the acceptance page, set your own password.
  3. Your account activates immediately — there's no separate approval step.
  4. You're signed in and land on your Dashboard.
Sign in with the email and password your administrator set up for you.
Your Dashboard right after signing in — a quick look at open tasks, Understanding status, and delivery.

What happens next

The navigation you see from here on is shaped by your role's permissions — an Administrator sees Users, Projects, Reports, and Exports; a Developer or Tester sees their own board and assigned work.

Where you go next depends on what you're there to do:

  • Assigned work waiting on you — start on My Board, your personal Kanban view.
  • Reviewing someone else's understanding of a task — see Understanding.
  • Creating and assigning work — see Tasks.
  • Running QA — see QA.
  • Tracking a release — see Releases.
  • Reporting on delivery — see Reporting.

Common issues

My invitation link expired, or I lost it. Ask the administrator who invited you to resend it from the Users page — invitations can be resent or revoked at any time before they're accepted.

I set a password but can't sign in. Double check you're using the exact email the invitation was sent to. If it still doesn't work, see Authentication.
