What this does

BriefFlow is a Progressive Web App — a website that can be installed like a native app. Installed BriefFlow opens in its own window, with its own icon, separate from your browser tabs.

Note

Installing is optional. Everything in BriefFlow works the same in a regular browser tab — installing just changes how you open and switch to it.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to BriefFlow at least once in a supported browser (Chrome, Edge, or Safari).
  • Installation is available from the account menu once you're signed in.

Desktop (Chrome, Edge)

  1. Sign in to BriefFlow and open the account menu in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Install BriefFlow.
  3. Confirm in the browser's install dialog.

BriefFlow now opens as its own app window, and an icon is added to your desktop or applications list.

Android

  1. Sign in to BriefFlow in Chrome.
  2. Open the account menu and select Install BriefFlow, or use Chrome's own Add to Home screen option from its menu.
  3. Confirm the install prompt.

iPhone / iPad

Safari on iOS doesn't support an automatic install prompt, so BriefFlow shows you the manual steps instead:

  1. Sign in to BriefFlow in Safari and open the account menu.
  2. Select Install BriefFlow — this opens instructions since Safari requires a manual step.
  3. Tap the Share button in Safari's toolbar, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Requirements

  • A supported modern browser (Chrome, Edge, or Safari).
  • A network connection to sign in and load your workspace data.

Offline behavior

BriefFlow needs a connection to load and update your workspace — task, Understanding, QA, and report data are never cached for offline use. If you open BriefFlow without a connection, you'll see a simple "You're offline" screen instead of stale or partial data, with a button to try again once you're back online.

Important

BriefFlow does not currently support full offline work. Task creation, Understanding submissions, QA results, and other changes all require an active connection.

Common issues

I don't see "Install BriefFlow" in the account menu. Your browser or device may not support installation, or BriefFlow may already be installed. Check whether a BriefFlow icon already exists on your desktop, home screen, or app list.

Installing didn't create a Home Screen icon on iPhone. Make sure you completed all three steps in Safari's Share sheet, including tapping Add on the final confirmation screen.
